This is a good one.
The Telegraph is reporting here that the Spainish tennis team made a “slit eyes” gesture, apparently in anticipation of their Federation Cup match against China in April.
I think more athletes should do stuff like this. Not to cause offence to the ordinary Chinese people who are just like ordinary decent people anywere else but to cause offence to the dictatorship that runs the country.
Imagine that, after every event, all the competitors from free counties pulling slit eye faces and shouting out “FREE TIBET”.
Of course, even if this did occur, I still wouldn’t see it on TV as I’m boycotting this overblown school sports day but the media would have a feeding frenzy.
